Surf, Wind & Fire is an outdoor lifestyle store with locations in historic downtown New Bern and historic downtown Edenton, North Carolina.

From the beginning, we’ve wanted Surf, Wind & Fire to feel like more than just a place to shop. Of course we care about the products — good clothing, great shoes, useful gear, and everyday favorites — but we’ve always cared just as much about making the store feel welcoming, easy to enjoy, and worth coming back to.

At both of our stores, you’ll find a mix of outdoor apparel, footwear, gifts, gear, and lifestyle goods that fit real life around here. Some things are made for weekends away, time on the water, and days outside. Some are simply the kind of things that make everyday life a little better.

What started in New Bern has grown over the years, and today Surf, Wind & Fire has stores in both New Bern and Edenton. The two shops aren’t exactly the same, and we like it that way. Each one has its own personality and its own rhythm, but both are built around the same idea: good things, a welcoming atmosphere, and a shopping experience people actually enjoy.

We’re inspired by the outdoors, by downtown life, and by the idea that adventure doesn’t always have to be far from home.

Sometimes it’s a trip.
Sometimes it’s time on the water.
Sometimes it’s trying somewhere new, taking the long way, or simply making time to enjoy where you already are.
